TAKE THE BASTARD OUT!

I must confess, I am not a regular viewer of the 700 CLUB; just not fervent enough to stand it, I guess. But I strongly reconsidered my lax viewing habits when I heard that Pat Robertson had finally said what I have long believed: that Venezuela's Hugo Chavez is a threat that should be taken out. I immediatly became endeared to the old man, but just as I was preparing my Robertson in '08 T-shirt and matching parachute pants, I see this crap come across his home page: "Is it right to call for assassination? No, and I apologize for that statement." WHAT! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?! YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS! Pat, buddy, pal, amigo, what the heck is happening to you? You appeared to have a real spine, something we could use more of today, and then you just crumple, like that wimp Jim Jeffords! I'm losing faith, brother! As you so eloquently put it in your phony apology, great Christians have called for the death of horrible leaders... it's part of our heritage. What is there to back down from... Chavez is a NASTY, FILTHY COMMUNIST who has THREATENED THE UNITED STATES! And I don't care if he did it with oil or with a nuclear weapon; as far as I'm concerned, you mess with us and your ass is grass... and in the words of my former professor, it's time to light it up! Don't be ashamed for speaking strongly; that's the kind of stuff we need! Our national security demands that our blood boil when others dare advance against us... too much more backing down and we might as well hand our keys over to the corrupt United Nations and join the even more comical EU. We would at least curry favor with France that way!... but then again, they'd probably cry about that too.

Fundraising Irregularities??? Not Mrs. Clinton!?!?

Stunning news surfaced yesterday when -lo and behold- Sen. Clinton's top fundraiser was indicted for "filing fictitious reports" related to campaign fundraising, as reported by WNBC. For me, this was a HUGE SHOCKER! I mean, who would have guessed that the Clinton operation was cutting corners and - God forbid- lying! It truly shook my faith in that otherwise honest couples' reputation... whatever will I believe in now!?

In real news, as this administration readies for what is certain to be the greatest move democracy has ever taken into the Middle East, every little misstep is sure to be seen by our enemies as an opening, if not a victory. Beware, then, when you hear of administration guidelines for delaying the vote being set! By delaying the election, we will be surrendering a vital battle and as such will give our enemies, freedom's enemies, more time to regroup, more opportunity to gather resources, and more hope that they can win! We must not let thim win; not even for a moment!

Democratic Futility 101

What a display! Sen. Barbara Boxer (CA) and Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones (OH) yesterday exhibited the Democratic party's bond-servant nature to the Michael Moore-wing of the party as they ridiculously challenged the electoral votes for President. For only the 2nd time in history Congress was forced to debate the votes, not in hopes of overturning what was an unequivocal win by Bush, but rather a matter of "electoral justice." Blatant partisanship aside, this stunt not only failed to accomplish anything substantive, but it also showed all of the truly moderate Democrats what sore losers they have representing them... and while it may not seem like much now, no one wants to be on the team of a sore loser.
